Stop Wasting Time - Overcome Your Procrastination Habit

Life is just too short to be sitting around procrastinating. Would you like to stop wasting time and overcome you procrastination habit today?

Did you say habit? Yep. Your procrastination is likely just another habit.

The good news is habits are easy to change. The bad news is … it take repetitive effort.

Habits are really no different than many things in life – we learned them from repeatedly doing things (or in this case not doing things).

When we learned to walked, we repeatedly gave it a try and fell, got right back up and tried again … until we could walk. We don’t even think about how to walk anymore. It is programmed into our subconscious minds.

Your subconscious runs our life with these various programs. We largely are unconscious and letting the subconscious mind run the show.

Don’t believe me? Ok, allow me to give you an example of two. I already gave you walking. How about driving? Do you think about how to drive? How about how you get dressed everyday? Do you really think about which leg to put on your pants with first or which arm you put your shirt on with first?

So now you know you have many subconscious programs that run various aspects of your life. One of these little programs is called procrastination. It is simply a habit and it can be changed.

All you need to do is to take conscious control of your mind and reprogram by installing new behaviours repeatly until your new program is installed into your subconscious mind.

You install by repetition daily. If you falter in your habit, stop and reprogram.

I reprogrammed to put my pants on with my right leg first instead of my left leg. Any time I was not conscious and started with my left leg. I stopped, took my pants off again – and then started with my right leg as desired. I did this till my right leg first was now automatic.

That is how you change your habits.

That is how you overcome procrastination … or anything else. It will take 21-30 days or longer to do. But it is freeing. There is nothing you cannot change – if you really want to.

For procrastination – just do the opposite – do the task – start it – do something. And do it every day till you have your new program installed. I guarantee you will feel better just by taking a little action.

In addition to my above method – you can add other tools to help you – perhaps get it done quicker.

Recognize you have an issue – then decide to change it – do it daily and use other subconscious mind programming techniques to speed up the process.
