If you cannot control your mind – you cannot expect to control your life.

Why?

Simply this … what goes on in the mind – goes on in your life. It is basically a mirror. So within … so without.

You mind is a simple device. It records and plays back. So … if you are programming good thoughts you will get desired things. If you are programming less than positive … you get less than positive.

You do this with your thoughts … your self talk.

What you say to yourself matters. It is a COMMAND. Your obedient mind will deliver. “Your wish is my command”.

Some examples of less than positive self-talk would be:

• “I’m not good enough”
• “I’m not strong enough”
• “I’m not thin enough”
• “That is just not me”
• “How stupid am I?”
• “knowing  my luck … “
• “I could never do that …”

Fill in the blanks … “I’m just not _____ enough”.

How about wealth? Do you think it affects your wealth? Up bet it does. “I never can get ahead”.

So there are several ways to control your mind. I will name a three that I have posted about.

1. Follow The Power of Now and feel your inner being at all times. This keeps your mind focused on you … and not wandering with uncontrolled thoughts. This is easy to do. I have done it and continue to do it. It is fantastic and it has many other benefits to your life.

2. Third eye meditation … or as in The Power of Now – focus on something on your body. In this case – you keep a portion of your awareness on the third eye. It has some amazing benefits and it feels good too.

3. Use an altered consciousness state via meditation. I recommend this because it helps you control your mind at all times. You need to quiet your mind and focus on no thought. I personally life to use both 1 and 2 for the meditation. They both feel fantastic. I also use the Silva Mind Control method which is another fantastic method to learn/use.

4. Self-talk and affirmations. You need to control your self-talk. You want to improve something in your life – this is a must. You cannot do other methods and then have negative self-talk. It will defeat the good you are trying to bring about.

A couple of very good resources for Self-talk are Bradley Thompson’s Self Talk Series. These are CDs that you listen to several times a day … and they reprogram your mind. It is a very simple way to reprogram. All you need to do is listen 2-3 times a day and within a short period of time you will notice changes.

Another great resource is Shad Helmstetter’s best selling book “What To Say When You Talk To Yourself”.

But the key to all of this is … control your mind … control your thinking … control your self-talk.

If you can do that  (AND YOU CAN) … you can change anything about your life.

Beware … you have programmed your life … all your life … so to reprogram … you need to consistently use REPETITION to reprogram. It will take less time that what you have done to this point in your life … but it will take time.

I had read this book a few years back, but I have just re-read it. I have certainly evolved since my last reading.

They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Well, when I first read Eckhart’s book – I found the information to be good (not great). I recall trying some of the exercises/suggestions in the book and almost immediately dismissing them.

The truth is … I was not ready for the information. I had certain beliefs that did not allow me to buy into what he was teaching.

I do know that all of your power is in the NOW. The time you have is NOW. The only way to deliberately create your life is NOW.  All of that makes perfect sense.

But that is only part of his message. The part I was not into was the stillness part.

I could not keep my mind quiet for the life of me. Meditation – are you kidding? I cannot even sit still. I have a million of thoughts flying in my head.

Every book or course on mastering the law of attraction talks about quieting the mind or controlling you mind.

Why?   Because you need to walk before you can run.

If you cannot control your mind – the thoughts that you think – then there is not way you can deliberately create the reality you want.

Back to “The Power of Now” … thanks to reading a different book, I decided to re-read this book again … and I am still re-reading it again and again and again.

I don’t know how many times you read a book, but I always re-read books that have life altering information. I highlight the text. I read from cover to cover – then I re-read from cover to cover again and again, etc.

Why? Because you forget the information. We all fall back into our habitual way of living. So I re-read to remind myself of a different way. Eventually it sinks in and becomes the new way.

Eckhart’s book, to me, is one of my top 5 books that have influenced my life – has provided me with a life altering way of thinking and living.

I cannot recommend this book enough.

If you own this book – re-read it. Understand it. Apply it. Feel your BEING. Practicing feeling your presence. It is wonderful.

If you do not own this book – get it – if you are ready that is. It has over 1,000 positive reviews on Amazon.

Who would be good to read this book? I would say this book is for anyone who is unhappy with their life. This book is for someone who is hoping the future will make them feel better. This book is for the person who is always searching for some missing thing in their life – whether it be happiness, relationship, wealth, or whatever it may be. This book is for the person who would like to be enlightened.

Apply the concepts from the book. It is really just the beginning of something special.

The lesson is a simple one that slips past most people.

It is simply this … take action toward your goals consistently.

Now, I will admit this to you. I did not have a goal to become a black belt. Sure, I thought someday it would happen. But that was not my real goal.

My real goal was be the best I could be at karate (or anything) everyday. To improve each day.

I call it baby steps.  Baby steps are tiny little steps in the right direction toward your ultimate goal.

Baby steps are simple … breakdown your goal into something, that if done consistently, will ultimately get you want you want.

In my case – it took 6 years to achieve my goal.

Can you focus on some consistent action daily (or whatever period of time) consistently to have it realized? Sure. Anyone can.

Take the baby step approach. Another thing about the baby step approach is this … when you were learning to walk as a baby – you likely fell down many times. Some of those times you may have even got hurt and cried. But guess what … you didn’t quit. You kept at it. You got back up and tried again. Maybe not immediately – but you did try again.

You were not afraid. You just did it. You did not know what being afraid of failure even is. Failure did not occur to you at all.

After a while you get programmed. You know what failure feels like and sometimes you quit. Some times it is just too hard to get results.

Well my friends, if you had that attitude when you were a baby … you would never have walked.

Sometimes it takes a while. If you want something bad enough you must never quit. “Quitters never win and winners never quit.” I am sure you are a winner.

I really don’t care what it is you want in life … but I do know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you can have it. But you are going to need to put in consistent mental and physical efforts.

You need to do your part. Embrace the baby step approach. You simply cannot fail.

It is all attitude.

All you need is the right attitude and daily, consistent activity that takes you in the direction of your goal.

I strongly recommend you make a daily ritual of meditation, visualization, and the many resources available from this site to get what you want.

I did not enjoy meditation for several reasons. One of the biggest was I would always fall asleep. I just happen to be one of those people that fall asleep really easy (too easy). Another big reason was if I was meditating I was not taking action towards my goals. I had a real hard time justifying meditation.

But I kept at it. I learned the Silva Method (I absolutely love the Silva method), which led me to The One Command and to Theta Healing. Somehow in my research I discovered a resource to Awaken My Third Eye.

I read the whole ebook and tried the exercises. I was not able to get the results I wanted. Then one day … it happened. I was amazed. I was amazed because it was so pleasurable.

Now I meditate several times a day using the Silva techniques and I open my third eye. I usually don’t fall asleep anymore and I have noticed that I can easily quiet my mind (almost instantly) … and I do it because it feels soooo good.
